What puppy is best for me and my family?
There are many breeds of dogs to choose from; many breeds have been developed specifically for particular traits or types of behavior.  Some dogs may not be suitable for your lifestyle because of the type of work they've been bred to do for centuries.  For example, if you are looking for a jogging companion, a Basset Hound might not be the best choice for you. As well, a family with small children might be unhappy with an Australian Cattle Dog nipping at their heels!  It can be a difficult choice to make, especially since they are all so cute when they're puppies!  WiggleBums can help you make that choice, by analyzing your livestyle as it relates to breed-specific behaviors in dogs. We can also help you choose a breeder, or help you choose a pup from the shelter. Our Choosing the Right Puppy Workshop is one two-hour session (or, if you prefer, two 1-hour sessions).

I've brought my new puppy home; what now?
WiggleBums offers a Welcoming Your New Puppy Workshop, too! This workshop focuses on bonding, crate training, house training, puppy-proofing and puppy development. You'll also learn how to manage normal puppy behaviors such as nipping and chewing, while setting the stage for later training with an overview of Operant Conditioning, Clicker Training and Reward/No-Reward Markers. This workshop is one two-hour (or two 1-hour) session, and is held in the privacy of your own home.

But I've just adopted an adult dog; can you help?
WiggleBums' Welcoming Your New Dog Workshop is similar to our puppy workshop in many ways. This workshop is customized to your particular situation, so whether you're a first-time dog owner, or adding a new dog to your existing 'pack', WiggleBums can help you and your family make the transition smoothly. This workshop is one two-hour (or two 1-hour) session, and is held in the privacy of your own home.
